Call For Papers

We are inviting papers on or connected to the following topics:

  • Remote and/or urban servicing for indigenous people with disability – in particular in reference to the World Health Organisation’s Community-based Rehabilitation (CBR)
  • Evidence-based practice models from disability employment organisations in the international arena
  • Mental Health – how can workplace supports create effective outcomes?
  • Assistive technology for people within the workforce with disability
  • Australian Innovation Funded Projects
  • Social enterprises, relating to the employment of people with disability
  • Transition pathways
    - from Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs) to open employment under Disability Employment Services (DES)
    - from schools into Disability Employment Services and open employment
    - from universities into Disability Employment Services and open employment

Key Dates

  1. Closing date for receipt of abstracts is Friday 13 April 2012.
  2. Notifications of papers accepted will be issued via email on or before Friday 27 April 2012.

Presentation Details

Oral presentations will be scheduled to suit the final program and will be delivered as a 45 minute concurrent session unless otherwise discussed with organising committee.

Submission Conditions

  • The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the Conference
  • Presenters of accepted abstracts are required to register for the conference by the conclusion of the early bird period. A reduced Presenter registration fee will be offered.
  • Presenters are expected to reserve the Conference dates of 8 and 9 August 2012 in their diaries until they receive notification of submission outcomes.

Application Process

  • Title of your presentation
  • An abstract must be no more than 250 words
  • Abstracts must be accompanied by presenter's picture (high resolution) and biography (no more than 80 words)
  • Please include contact details for all persons who are nominating to present the abstract
  • Any special Audio Visual requirements
